Leadership Bell County is hosting a 5K run/walk as well as a cornhole tournament to support UNITE, a program implemented by Congressman Hal Rogers to fight drug abuse in Southeastern Kentucky. Previous Leadership Bell County projects have raised as much as $10,000 for local charities. This is a great opportunity to have fun while improving our area.

(Pineville, Ky) On January 26, 2012, Kentucky State Police Post 10 Harlan received a call at 7:01 am that a pedestrian had been struck by two vehicles on US 25E one mile South of Pineville.

(Pineville, KY) On January 12, 2012, Kentucky State Police troopers from Post 10, and Drug Enforcement Eastern Section/Special Investigations conducted a drug round-up in Bell and Harlan counties. This stems from a yearlong investigation into the illegal sale of narcotics in the Bell and Harlan counties area.

Those of us who live and play along the Red Bird River and in the communities of Clay, Leslie and Bell Counties know how special it is. We are surrounded by beautiful plants and animals and historical resources unmatched anywhere else in the state.

To make sure our home is protected now and in the future, a local group is being formed to help lay the groundwork needed to restore the natural resources in our part of the world.
