Clay County escapee captured / Laurel county


Sheriff John Root is reporting that Laurel Sheriff's Sgt. Chuck Johnson received information on the possible whereabouts of a wanted escapee from Clay County on Friday morning (7-20-2012) at 0230 A.M., on Court Road, 1 mile south of London.

When deputies arrived at the residence, they were told by residents at the house that Frankie Brumley was not there.

As Deputies continued their investigation, they located the escapee Frankie Brumley hiding in the master bathroom in the residence.

After a brief altercation with Brumley, he was taken into custody.

Arrested was Frankie J. Brumley age 40 of Hwy 149, Manchester charged with: Being a Fugitive From Clay County, Ky, and with Resisting Arrest. He was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Facility.

Also arrested at the residence by Laurel Sheriff’s Deputy Brett Reeves was: Shane Botkins age 37  and Tiffany Botkins age 30 both of Court Road, London charged with: 2nd Degree Hindering Apprehension. Both were also lodged in the Laurel County Detention Facility.

Other Officers assisting included Deputy Kirk Mays and London City Police Officer Travis Couch.
