(Irvine, KY)- On February 2, 2012 at 11:05 pm EST the Kentucky State Police (KSP) responded to a shooting complaint in Estill County.   

Trooper Jarrod Smith responded to Rice Station Road and located Carl J Crowe, 40 years old of Irvine, KY. with a gunshot wound to his right leg.  Preliminary investigation revealed Mr. Crowe was involved in a verbal argument with a juvenile prior to the shooting. 

A juvenile was taken into custody at the scene and placed in the Breathitt County Juvenile Detention Center and charged with Wanton Endangerment in the 1^st degree.

Mr. Crowe was transported to Marcum Wallace Hospital for treatment.

The investigating officer is Trooper Smith and he was assisted at the scene by Sergeant Harvey Baxter, Trooper Sonny Dunaway, Trooper Kenny Sandusky, Trooper Anthony Trotter and the Estill County EMS.
