(Harlan, KY.) The Kentucky State Police, Post 10, Harlan, which provides coverage for Harlan, Bell and Knox counties, will be conducting periodic traffic safety checkpoints at locations approved by the Kentucky State Police Policy and Procedures Manual.

(Harlan, Ky.) -- Kentucky State Police, Post 10, is now accepting applications for the 2012 Kentucky State Police Citizens Police Academy. The 10-week academy is slated to begin on March 13th and conclude May 22. Students will meet Tuesdays from 6:00 to 9:00 PM where they will learn about the many aspects of the Kentucky State Police including patrol, criminal investigations, and drug investigations. Students will also get to take part in simulated law enforcement training during the course.

(Pineville, KY) On January 12, 2012, Kentucky State Police troopers from Post 10, and Drug Enforcement Eastern Section/Special Investigations conducted a drug round-up in Bell and Harlan counties. This stems from a yearlong investigation into the illegal sale of narcotics in the Bell and Harlan counties area.

(Harlan, KY) Kentucky State Police, Post 10 Harlan arrested Christopher S. Raleigh, age 25 of Cumberland earlier today. He is being charged with receiving stolen property over $500 and theft by deception over $500 both of which are Class D Felonies.
