(FRANKFORT, KY) – Preliminary statistics* indicate that ten people died in ten separate crashes on Kentucky roadways from Monday, Feb. 20, through Sunday, Feb. 26, 2012. 

(Irvine, KY) On Monday February 27, 2012 at 2:26 am EST Kentucky State Police, Richmond Post was contacted by the Estill County 911 dispatch center, to request that KSP investigate a collision involving Irvine Police Department Officer James Gross and George Davis.  Trooper First Class Toby Coyle responded to KY 52 / Richmond Road where the collision occurred and began his investigation.

Sheriff John Root is reporting that Laurel Sheriff’s Deputy Kirk Mays conducted a traffic stop on a silver BMW that failed to signal a turn and weaving across the centerline on the roadway on U.S. 25 in London on Saturday night at approx. 10:29 P.M.

Sheriff John Root is reporting that Laurel Sheriff’s Deputy Greg Turner received a complaint that a female subject was seen coming out of a locked garage on Roy McHargue Road, 6 miles south of London on Sunday afternoon (2-26-2012) at approx. 2:00P.M. When Deputy Turner arrived he learned that the homeowner came home from church and observed a female subject coming out of their garage. 

(MANCHESTER, KY.) – On Saturday, February 25, 2012, at 7:23 p.m., Troopers from the Kentucky State Police Post 11, London responded to an injury accident on US Hwy 421 North near the intersection of Sacker Road, 7 miles north of Manchester.

(LONDON, KY.) – On Friday, February 24, 2012 at approximately 7:54 PM, the Kentucky State Police, Post 11 London, received a report of a possible Criminal Child Abuse, from the Laurel County Social Services, that occurred at a home in Laurel County.  

Sheriff John Root is reporting that while Laurel County Sheriff’s Detectives and Deputies were executing a search warrant for drug related offenses on Mullins Road on Thursday night (2-23-2012), a male subject arrived at the residence that was being searched.

Sheriff John Root is reporting that Laurel Sheriff’s Detective Jason Back and Detective Brad Mitchell conducted an undercover investigation on Mullins Road, 8 miles southeast of London and on Thursday (2-23-2012). 

It was determined that a female subject was trafficking roxicet pills.

Sheriff John Root is reporting that Laurel Sheriff’s Deputy Shawn Boroviak responded to a complaint of possible child abuse on Fariston Road, 2 miles south of London on Thursday night (2-23-2012) at approx. 8:01 P.M. Upon arrival at the scene deputies discovered a 2 year old male child with bruising and marks all over his body consistent with being struck by some type of instrument, hands, and by other means..
