Chain Reaction Injury Collision - Laurel County

Laurel County, KY - Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Bryon Lawson investigated a four vehicle injury traffic crash which occurred on US 25 approximately 6 miles south of London on Wednesday morning December 6, 2017 at approximately 9:00 AM.

The investigating deputy reports that apparently a red colored Ford F-150 was attempting to make a turn off US 25, and two vehicles behind him -a silver colored Chevrolet Silverado and another silver colored Chevrolet Silverado were both stopped behind him waiting on him to turn when a red colored Chevrolet pickup struck one of the silver Chevrolet Silverados in the rear causing a chain reaction collision striking the other two vehicles.

A passenger in the red colored Ford F-150 was transported to St. Joseph Hospital London for treatment of injuries.

• The red colored Ford F-150 was driven by Timothy Roberts age 46 of Corbin -no injuries reported. A passenger in the vehicle Jimmy Collett age 63 of Williamsburg was transported by Ambulance Inc. of Laurel County to St. Joseph Hospital London for treatment of possible injuries.
• The first Chevrolet Silverado was driven by Hunter West age 22 of Barbourville -no injuries reported.
• The second Chevrolet Silverado was driven by Claves Sellers age 72 of Lily -no injuries reported.
• The red Chevrolet pickup was driven by Elbert North age 55 of London -no injuries reported.

Assisting at the scene for Laurel sheriff's Office was Sgt. Brett Reeves, Deputy Josh Scott, Deputy Brandon Broughton.

Also assisting was Lily Volunteer Fire Department.
