Laurel County, KY - Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Gary Mehler arrested Edna Jessica Chapman age 34 of London early Thursday morning December 7, 2017 at approximately 5:50 AM.
The arrest occurred off US 25 approximately 1/2 mile north of London after Deputy Mehler was dispatched to a complaint of an intoxicated individual trespassing on a business there.
Upon arrival at the scene Deputy Mehler located this subject and observed her entering a trailer there on the business property where she had been advised to leave and not come back earlier.
An investigation was conducted and this subject was determined to be under the influence – she admitted taking Suboxone and snorting meth.
Edna Jessica Chapman was charged with criminal trespassing – second degree; possession of drug paraphernalia; and public intoxication – controlled substances and was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
