Laurel County's "Shop with a Cop" 2017

LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: 25 Laurel Sheriff's supervisors, deputies, bailiffs, court security officers and a special deputy all had the privilege to help with Laurel County's "Shop with a Cop" on Saturday morning December 9, 2017 at 7:00 AM.

The children spend $100 per child with $70 of it being spent on clothing and $30 on toys. Some of the early founding fathers are still active with the present-day program including Don and Virginia Wattenbarger and Laurel County Sheriff's Detective Chris Edwards.

Also assisting on the event  saturdyay was: Jamie Harrison of Community Trust Bank, Laurel County Volunteer Fire Department, London City Police, and countless other volunteers.

A very special thanks to former Laurel County Sheriff's Deputy Don Wattenbarger for his lifelong commitment and support of Laurel County's "Shop with a Cop"!!
