WCSD Press Release | Dec 14, 2017 - Around 3:30 a.m. December 13, 2017, Deputy Brian Hensley responded to a Sheila Circle residence in response to a noise complaint. Outside of the trailer, Dep. Hensley made contact with several people and began asking for identification.
During the investigation, Whitley County E911 reported active arrest warrants for six of the persons present. Williamsburg officers Mike Taylor and John Fulton assisted in the investigation.
The following were arrested:
Anthony Robert Skaggs, 31, of Gray, was wanted for failure to appear (FTA). While being detained, Skaggs reached into his pants. Within his waistband was a hatchet. Inside a pant pocket was a crystal substance believed to be methamphetamine. In addition to his FTA warrant, Skaggs was charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance and carrying a concealed weapon.
Several persons said they were waiting on a female named Ashley Napier. During the investigation, it was determined that Napier, 25, of Corbin was also wanted for arrest. Once located, she originally gave Dep. Hensley a false name. She was arrested on the warrant and also charged with giving an officer a false name.
Also present was Tyler Bright, 21, of Barbourville. Bright originally gave officers a false name. When his identity was determined, he was found to have an active warrant for his arrest relating to failure to appear in circuit drug court. He was arrested on the warrant and also charged with giving an officer a false name.
Summer Thomas, 22, of Williamsburg, was also arrested on a bench warrant.
Cody Brooks, 25, of Barbourville, was arrested on a warrant for non-payment of fines.
Lastly, Zachary Robinson, 35, of Ohio, was found to be entered into a national database as wanted for arrest by the Butler County, Ohio Sheriff’s Department and considered dangerous. He was taken into custody and will be released to Ohio authorities.
