Laurel County, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that Laurel Sheriff accident reconstructionist Capt Chuck Johnson is investigating a 2 vehicle fatal traffic crash which occurred on KY 30, approx. 5 miles northeast of London early Saturday morning December 16, 2017 at approx. 3:41 A.M.
Captain Johnson reports that a pick-up truck and a car collided on KY 30.
The GMC pick-up truck was driven by Riley T. Parker age 21 of Tyner, KY -He was transported to St.Joseph Hospital London for treatment of injuries.
The Hyundai car was driven by a 17 year old female from London-deceased from injuries. A 17 year old female passenger received critical injuries and was airlifted from the scene to UK Med Center in Lexington.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
Assisting at the scene was: Deputy Shannon Jones, and Sgt. John Inman. Also assisting was: Ambulance Inc. Of Laurel County, London Laurel Rescue Squad, East Bernsatdt Fire Dept., Justin Noe with Laurel County Public Safety, Laurel county Coroners Office and PHI helicopter.
