Three adults & one juvenile charged with drugs in Laurel Co. near Keavy

Sheriff John Root stated "Drug Arrests will be continuing"!

Laurel County, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Daniel Grigsby along with Sgt. John Inman arrested three adult males and took a 17-year-old female juvenile into custody on Monday night January 1, 2018 at approximately 11:08 PM.

The arrests occurred off Ky 312, approximately 10 miles south of London after deputies conducted an investigation on a suspicious black SUV found parked in a business parking lot there and occupied by 4 individuals. During their investigation, deputies detected a strong odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle and found the individuals in possession of marijuana, scales, baggies, a marijuana crusher, and cash money.

The individuals arrested were identified as:

  • Jacob W. Belew age 18 of Corbin charged with trafficking in marijuana less than 8 ounces – first offense; and possession of drug paraphernalia
  • Darryl J. Moore age 20 of Corbin charged with trafficking in marijuana less than 8 ounces – first offense; and possession of drug paraphernalia
  • Dillion W. Robinson age 20 of Gray Ky charged with trafficking in marijuana less than 8 ounces – first offense; and possession of drug paraphernalia
  • A 17-year-old female juvenile
  • The adult males were lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.

    The female juvenile was charged and released to her parents pending court action.
