KSP Charges Jefferson Co. Man With Possession and Distribution of Child Pornography

(Louisville, Ky.)— On March 24, 2015, at approximately 5:40 p.m., the Kentucky State Police Electronic Crime Branch, assisted by KSP Post-4 Elizabethtown, arrested Jason Koerner, 35, for charges related to possession and distribution of matter portraying a sex performance by a minor.

Koerner was arrested as the result of an undercover Internet Crimes Against Children investigation which began in March. The KSP Electronic Crime Branch began the investigation after discovering the suspect showing images of child sexual exploitation online. The images included lewd display and children engaged in sexual acts.

The investigation resulted in the execution of a search warrant at Koerner’s residence on March 24, 2015. Equipment used to facilitate the crime was seized and taken to KSP’s forensic laboratory for examination. The investigation is ongoing.

Koerner is currently charged with 11 counts of possession and nine counts of distribution of matter portraying a sex performance by a minor. Both charges are Class D Felonies, with each count punishable by one to five years in prison.
