Disorderly conduct at Walmart in Laurel County

Laurel County, Ky. - Sheriff John Root is reporting that Deputy Milton Storm along with Sgt. Larry Parrott arrested Becky Grubb age 35 of 23rd St., Corbin on Thursday evening July 30, 2015 at approximately 7:34 P.M.

The arrest occurred in the parking lot at Walmart near Corbin in southern Laurel County after deputies were dispatched to a complaint received from several different citizens reporting a female subject that appeared to be under the influence wandering through the parking lot there at Walmart.

When deputies arrived and located the subject, and conducted an investigation, this subject became very disorderly creating a disturbance there in the parking lot.

Upon arrest, this subject resisted and assaulted Sgt. Parrott who was assisting on the arrest causing minor injury to the officer. Upon further investigation by deputies, it was learned that this subject had been observed on video by Walmart's loss prevention team shoplifting.

Becky Grubb was charged with public intoxication – controlled substances; disorderly conduct – second degree; resisting arrest; assault fourth degree – minor injury; and theft by unlawful taking – shoplifting.

Becky Grubb was lodged in the Laurel County dDetention Center.
