Clay County, KY - Clay Coroner Danny L. Finley is reporting that on May 18, 2016 at 4:44 P.M. officials were dispatched to Lovers Leap Road near Manchester. Upon arrival KSP Trooper Josh Wilson discovered a deceased Clay County Middle School student.
Hayden Brumley, age 14 had died in the bedroom of his home from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Family members were stunned and friends & family in disbelief as news spread throughout the community Wednesday evening.
According to the Clay County Coroner, no autopsy was requested and drugs or alcohol use are not suspected in this case.
KSP Trooper Josh Wilson leads the investigation.

Funeral Services for Hayden Brumley were conducted on Saturday, May 21 at 2 P.M. at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel in Manchester.
