KSP Post 11, London to host fourth Citizen’s Police Academy

(LONDON, KY.) – Kentucky State Police, Post 11, is now accepting applications for the 2012 Citizens Police Academy. The 11-week academy is slated to begin on Thursday March 22, 2012 and will conclude Thursday May 31, 2012.  Students will meet from 6:00 to 8:30 PM where they will learn about the many facets of the Kentucky State Police including patrol, criminal investigations, and drug investigations.    

The Academy will be held in the downstairs classroom at the Laurel County Health Department Building at 525 Whitley Street in London.  Applications can be obtained by contacting the Kentucky State Police, Post 11 at (606) 878-6622. Applications will be accepted until Friday, March 9, 2012. Applications can also be obtained by visiting http://www.kentuckystatepolice.org/posts/post11.htm. Anyone 18 years of age, or older, living within the Kentucky State Police, Post 11 District is welcome to apply. The KSP Post 11 District consists of the following counties: Laurel, Clay, Rockcastle, Pulaski, Whitley, McCreary and Wayne.  There is no cost to attend and participants must attend 80% of the classes to graduate.
