Stabbing incident / Laurel County
Sheriff John Root is reporting that Laurel Sheriff’s Detective Sgt. Tommy Johnston is investigating an assault which occurred on Wednesday night 6-13-2012 at 9:54 P.M. at a residence on Park Street, 7 miles south of London. Laurel County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to a complaint of a knife stabbing, and found a male subject with numerous knife wounds.
The victim was identified as: Jason Hallock age 22 of Park Street Lily, Ky – He was transported by Ambulance Inc. of Laurel County to BRMC, and then airlifted to UK Med Center in Lexington.
Through investigation detectives learned that an argument had occurred between Russell Hibbard age 27 of Park St. Lily, and the victim, which resulted in an altercation where the victim was stabbed several times with a knife.
Detective Sgt. Tommy Johnston is continuing to investigate the circumstances of the assault.
The case will be presented to the next term of the Laurel County Grand Jury for their consideration.
