Meth Investigation and Arrests / Laurel County

(LONDON, KY.) On August 17th 2012 at about 11:42 PM, Kentucky state Police Sergeant Steve Walker was on patrol on KY 363 about 2 ½ miles south of London. Sgt. Walker smelled a chemical odor related to manufacturing of methamphetamine.
Sgt. Walker and Trooper Jack Riley found the odor emitting from an out building located behind a residence.
Two individuals, identified as Kenneth Casteel, age-22 and Gary D. Dalee, age- 54 both of London, KY were found in the building.
An active one-step methamphetamine lab along with chemicals and items used in manufacturing were found.
Both Casteel and Dalee were arrested on the charge of Manufacturing Methamphetamine and lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
Investigation continues by Sergeant Walker who was assisted by HIDTA Task Force Officer Bob O’Neil, Deputy Justin Walker and Constable Denver Mays.
