Mr. Charles Smallwood, age 70 of Goose Rock departed this life on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at the Manchester Memorial Hospital. He was born on Tuesday, February 4, 1947 in Manchester to Stevie and Cleo (Smallwood) Smallwood. He worked in the coal mines.

He leaves to mourn his passing his children: Sharmon Smallwood, Angela Smith, Sheila Marcum, Lucy Wombles, Charlotte Smith, Charles Steven Smallwood, several grandchildren and great grandchildren and these brothers and sisters: Esaleen Smith, Jessielean Smith, Roselean Wagers, Lizzie Mae Smith, Carl Smallwood, Pauline Roark, Winston Smallwood and Harvey Jr. Smallwood and a host of other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents: Stevie and Cleo Smallwood; his daughter: Christine Smallwood, and one brother: Dennis Smallwood.

Funeral Services for Mr. Charles Smallwood will be conducted on Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at 2 PM at the Mud Lick Church of the Brethren. Rev. Dwayne Yost, Dave Balmer and Bettina Balmer will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Mud Lick Cemetery in the Mud Lick Community.

Visitation will be held on Monday after 6PM at the Mud Lick Church of the Brethren.

Arrangements are entrusted to the Rominger Funeral Home.
