(Booneville, KY) - On Wednesday, August 15, 2012 at 11:45 a.m. EDT the Kentucky State Police, Richmond Post was contacted about a vehicle off the road on KY 11 south of Booneville.

Preliminary investigation revealed that a vehicle traveling north on KY 11 skidded off the road and overturned several times before striking a tree. The operator, Tanner Kibbey, 19 years old of Booneville, was ejected from the vehicle and was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Owsley County Coroner's Office.

Trooper Brent Lynch is the investigating officer and was assisted at the scene by the Owsley County Sheriffs Office.
