(LONDON, KY.) – On Thursday, August 09, 2012 at 10:08 AM the Kentucky State Police, Post 11 London, received a request for a status/welfare check at a residence on Okalona Road in the Nancy Community of Pulaski County.

Upon arrival officers observed a female come to the door of the residence followed by a male who was armed. The male subject pulled the female back inside the residence, at which time officers heard a possible gunshot. The male subject emerged from the residence, armed, and after a short standoff, challenged officers by pointing his weapon in their direction which led to him being shot, by an officer, in the torso.

The male is identified as Timmy K. Hislope, 52, of Nancy. He was flown to the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington for treatment.

The female is identified as Mary Amanda Hislope, 44, of Somerset. She was pronounced dead at the scene by the Pulaski County Coroners Office.
