(Mt. Vernon, KY.) – On August 19, 2012, at approximately 7 p.m. the Post 11 Criminal Interdiction Team, conducted a traffic stop on a 2012 Toyota Avalon on Interstate 75 near the 72 mile marker in Rockcastle County.

During an investigative search 308 Oxycodone pills were located inside the vehicle.

The operator of the vehicle, Johnathon L. Brown, age 29, of Lexington, KY was arrested and charged with trafficking in a controlled substance 1st degree, 2nd offense, drug unspecified and following another vehicle to closely.

The passenger, Antjuan L. Elzy, age 36, of Lexington, KY was arrested and charged with trafficking in a controlled substance 1st degree, 2nd offense, drug unspecified.

Both subjects were lodged in the Rockcastle County Detention Center. The investigation is continuing by Trooper Adam Childress.
