Three jailed on drug charges after traffic stop
(LONDON, KY.) – On Wednesday, August 29, 2012, at approximately 8:30 PM the Kentucky State Police Post 11 Criminal Interdiction Team conducted a traffic stop, on a 2012, Mazda, passenger car, on I-75 in Rockcastle County.
During the course of the traffic stop officers developed a reasonable suspicion that unlawful activity was occurring. Further investigation led to the discovery of two (2) small bags of Marijuana, eight (8) ounces of Cocaine and two (2) ounces of Crack Cocaine.
The driver, Kweita Anderson, 38, of Springfield, Ohio, and the two (2) passengers, Myron Colvin, 38, of Pataskala, Ohio and James Coran, 38, of Springfield, Ohio, were arrested and charged with two (2) counts each of Trafficking in a Control Substance 1st and Possession of Marijuana.
All three (3) were lodged in the Rockcastle County Detention Center.
KSP Sergeant Lafe Owens is continuing the investigation and he was assisted by Troopers Mike King, Adam Childress and Ryan Loudermilk.
