KSP charges a London man with Child Sexual Exploitation Offenses

LONDON, Ky. (March 29, 2019) — On March 28, 2019, at approximately 3:45 p.m., the Kentucky State Police Electronic Crime Branch arrested Andrew J. Dick, 28, on charges related to possession of matter portraying sexual performance by a minor.

Dick was arrested as the result of an undercover Internet Crimes Against Children investigation. The KSP Electronic Crime Branch began the investigation after discovering the suspect uploaded files of child sexual exploitation online.

The investigation resulted in the execution of a search warrant at a residence in London on March 28, 2019. Equipment used to facilitate the crime was seized and taken to KSP’s forensic laboratory for examination. The investigation is ongoing.

Dick is currently charged with 10 counts of possession of matter portraying a minor in a sexual performance. These charges are Class-D felonies punishable by one to five years in prison.

Dick was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
