Arrowhead Court man accused of Fleeing Police & other charges / Clay County

Clay County, Ky. - Sheriff Patrick Robinson is reporting that: On March 29, 2019 at approximately 1:00 AM Clay County Deputy Sheriff Tommy Houston arrested Thomas Patterson age 34 of Arrowhead Court.

The arrest occurred on Highway 80 when Deputy Houston was patrolling the area, when he observed a maroon Jeep Cherokee pass him at a high rate of speed and operating with only one headlight.

When Deputy Houston activated his emergency lights and turned on the subject, he accelerated his vehicle and began to drive recklessly with intent to evade police.

The subject failed to stop for Deputy Houston and turned onto Add Hollow Road.

The vehicle came to a stop on Add Hollow Road, when Deputy Houston made contact with the subject and ran his name through Clay County 911 it showed he had a suspended operator’s license.

The subject displayed signs of impairment, Deputy Houston conducted field sobriety test on the subject. The subject was then transported to Advent Health Manchester where he submitted to a blood test.

Assisting at the scene was Manchester City Police Officer Ryan Jackson.

Thomas Patterson was charged with:

  • Operating Motor Vehicle Under the Influence of Alc/Drugs/Etc. . 08 1st Offense
  • Reckless Driving
  • Operating on Suspended or Revoked Operators License
  • Fleeing or Evading Police, 2nd Degree (Motor Vehicle)
