Chief Deputy Jones arrests 2 in a Clay Co. park for PI & Possession

Oneida, Ky - Clay County Sheriff Patrick Robinson is reporting that: On March 31, 2019 at approximately 12:35 PM Clay County Chief Deputy Clifton Jones arrested two individuals for drugs in a Clay County park.

Arrested was:

Shawn Barger, 23 of Danger Branch and William Mosley, 23 of Highway 1482.

The arrest occurred at the park in Onieda, when Chief Deputy Jones was patrolling and observed a vehicle parked at the main back of the park.

Upon contact with the driver, a strong odor of Marijuana was emitting from the vehicle.

The driver and passenger both stated they had been smoking Marijuana prior to the arrival of Chief Deputy Jones. Upon search of both subjects Chief Deputy Jones located on the person a plastic baggie of Marijuana on each subject. Chief Jones located a pistol concealed under the driver side seat.

Shawn Barger was charged with:

  • Public Intoxication of Controlled Substance (Excludes Alcohol)
  • Possession of Marijuana
  • William Mosley was charged with:

  • Public Intoxication of Controlled Substance (Excludes Alcohol)
  • Possession of Marijuana
  • Carrying a Concealed Weapon
