3 PI Charges & 1 Multiple Warrants Arrest at a gas station / Clay County

Clay County, Ky. -  Sheriff Patrick Robinson is reporting that: On April 1st, 2019 at approximately 4:30 AM Clay County Sheriff Deputy Brandon Edwards arrested 3 individuals at a gas station on South Highway 421.

Arrested was:

  • Rebecca Roberts, 40 of South Highway 66
  • Rafael Roark, 27 of Sandhill Road
  • Leighman Messer, 24 of Mill Creek Road.
  • The arrests occurred at Alvins Gas Station on South Highway 421 when Deputy Edwards observed a female subject exit a vehicle that he knew had multiple warrants for her arrest.

    Upon contact with the female subject, she provided Deputy Edwards with false identifying information as to who she was. Through acknowledgement Deputy Edwards ran her information through Clay County Dispatch it was confirmed she had four active warrants for her arrest through Clay County District Court and an active warrant for her arrest through Knox County District Court.

    Also, with the female there was two male subjects with her and through investigation it was determined all 3 subjects were under the influence of intoxicants. 

    Rebecca Roberts, 40 was charged with:

  • Public Intoxication of Controlled Substance (Excludes Alcohol)
  • Giving Officer False Identification
  • Serving Bench Warrant for Court
  • Serving Bench Warrant for Court
  • Serving Bench Warrant for Court
  • Serving Bench Warrant for Court
  • Serving Bench Warrant for Court
  • Rafael Roark, 27 was charged with:

  • Public Intoxication of Controlled Substance (Excludes Alcohol)
  • Leighman Messer, 24 was charged with:

  • Public Intoxication of Controlled Substance (Excludes Alcohol)
