Laurel County, Ky - Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Deputy Rick Cloyd arrested Steve Eaton age 39 of Corbin on Saturday night April 6, 2019 at approximately 8:15 PM.
The arrest occurred off N. Florence St. approximately 11 miles South of London while Deputy Cloyd was assisting a motorist who was getting their vehicle pulled out of the ditch. Two adults and two children were being assisted there.
A male subject staggered upon the scene and created a disturbance by being very belligerent around the other persons present.
Deputy Cloyd detected the strong odor of alcoholic beverages emitting from this subject and conducted an investigation determining that he was under the influence. In addition, this individual was found with an outstanding warrant.
Steve Eaton was charged with alcohol intoxication in a public place third offense or more in 12 months period; disorderly conduct – second-degree.
In addition, this subject was wanted on a Knox District Court bench warrant of arrest charging failure to appear in court on charges of alcohol intoxication in a public place third offense or more in a 12 month timeframe and contempt of court.
This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
