MANCHESTER, KY - Clay County Cooperative Extension Service upcoming programs for June, 2019.
►4-H Baking Basics will be June 6th at 3:00 pm at the Clay County Extension Office. Participants will learn kitchen safety, baking basics and create their own cake and icing! Cakes can be entered in 4-H Project Day and Kentucky State Fair. FREE & open to all youth ages 9-18. Please call 598-2789 to register by June 3rd.
►4-H Kitchen Experts will be June 7th at 4:30 pm at the Clay County Extension Office. Join us and create VERY berry salsa, easy fresh salsa and homemade tortilla chips. FREE & open to all youth ages 9-18. Please register by calling 598-2789 by June 3rd.
►Preserving Your Food will be June 11th at 6:00 pm at the Clay County Extension Office. Come learn how to properly preserve your garden produce for your family’s enjoyment later in the year. Call 598-2789 to register. FREE and open to the public.
►Preserving Your Food will be June 13th at the Red Bird Cramer Building at 6:00 pm. FREE and open to the public.
►4-H Paint Day will be June 20th at 2:45 pm at the EXCEL building. Come join us and paint your very own canvas. This is a kid-friendly painting, and parents/guardians are encouraged to paint with their kid(s).This is a great opportunity to explore a new hobby and enjoy family bonding time. FREE! Limited spots available. Snacks will be available and door prizes will be given away. Kenna Spears will be teaching the painting class for us. ►Inaugural Beekeeping Association Organizational Meeting will be June 27th at 6:00 pm at the EXCEL Building (beside the old McDonald’s). If you are interested in beekeeping, have a few hives or have many hives, we need you!!!
►SNAP-Ed Summer Kids Cooking Camp will be June 27th from 1:30 – 3:30 pm; June 28th from 10:00 am – 12:00 noon and July 1st from 10:00 am – 12:00 noon at the Clay County Extension Office. Come learn basic cooking skills, kitchen safety, food safety and much more. We will also be sampling food each day and have a craft. You must call 598-2789 to register. Classes are limited, so call early. FREE for ages 8-12 years old.
►Photography Workshop will be July 2nd from 10:30 am – 1:30 pm at the Clay County Extension Office. This will be a fun workshop to learn basic photography skills. Spots are limited so you must call 598-2789 to register. FREE for kids in grades 3-12.
