Patrol Arrests on Curry Branch Road in Clay County

Clay County, Ky. -  Sheriff Patrick Robinson is reporting that on August 14, 2019 at approximately 7:00 PM Clay County Sheriff Deputy Tommy Houston arrested Ricky Bowling, 44 of Hacker Fork Road and Cynthia Jarvis, 40 of East Main Street.

Patrol arrests

The arrests occurred when Deputy Houston was patrolling Curry Branch Road when he observed a red Dodge Neon traveling on Curry Branch Road, Deputy Houston conducted a traffic stop for vehicle infractions.

Deputy Houston made contact with the driver at which time the driver showed obvious signs of impairment, during the investigation Deputy Houston determined the subject was under the influence of intoxicants.

Through further investigation, the driver admitted to smoking Marijuana and taking and assortment of controlled substances.

Through running the information of the female passenger with Clay County Dispatch it was confirmed she had an active warrant out of Rowan County. 

Ricky Bowling was charged with:

• No Tail Lamps
• No Operator/Moped License
• Failure to Non-Owner Operator to Maintain Required Insurance
• Operating Motor Vehicle Under the Influence of ALC/DRUGS/ETC.

Cynthia Jarvis was charged with:

• Serving Bench Warrant for Court
