Clay Deputy investigating complaint on Curry Branch Road finds two Laurel Co. men passed out in vehicle

Clay County, Ky. (December 12, 2019) - Sheriff Patrick Robinson is reporting that on December 12, 2019 at approximately 5:00 AM Clay County Sheriff Deputy Wes Brumley arrested Jason Abrams, 42 and Travis Cheek, 41 both of London.

The arrests occurred when Deputy Brumley was dispatched to a complaint on Curry Branch Road of two males being passed out in a vehicle.

Upon arrival, Deputy Brumley made contact with both subjects. Through investigation it was determined that both subjects was under the influence of intoxicants.

During the search, Deputy Brumley located Drug Paraphernalia and a Controlled Substance. 

Jason Abrams was charged with:

• Public Intoxication of Controlled Substance (Excludes Alcohol)
• Drug Paraphernalia Buy/Possess

Travis Cheek was charged with:

• Public intoxication of Controlled Substance (Excludes Alcohol)
• Possession of Controlled Substance 1st Degree
