Driver & passengers found in possession of suspected Methamphetamine and suspected Heroin during a traffic stop in southeast Kentucky deny ownership of drugs

LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Landry Collett arrested three individuals on KY 229 in London early Friday morning November 20, 2020 at approximately 4:17 AM.

The arrests occurred at the intersection of Commercial Drive in London following a traffic stop conducted on a green Chevrolet Malibu for a traffic violation.

Drug usage was suspicioned during the stop resulting in additional deputies assisting at the scene including Deputy Justin Taylor, Deputy James Fox, and shift Sgt. John Inman.

During the traffic stop the driver and two passengers were found in possession of:

The occupants all denied ownership of the drugs.

In addition, subjects in the vehicle were found with outstanding warrants including drug indictment warrants and parole violation warrants.

A passenger, William Christopher Baker age 37 of Indian Ln., Mount Vernon, KY charged with:

In addition, this subject was charged on a Rockcastle Circuit Court indictment warrant of arrest charging:

Also this subject was charged on a second Rockcastle Circuit Court indictment warrant of arrest charging:

Another passenger in the vehicle, Joshua Dale Burke age 35 of Liberty Dr., Mount Vernon, KY charged with:

All three individuals were lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
