Manchester, Ky. - - Local elections are extremely important in deciding in what direction cities and counties are going in, especially concerning community economic health. So with this in mind, on Saturday February 22, 2014 ClayCoNews gave every candidate seeking public office in Clay County, KY the opportunity to explain to the voters of Clay County & Manchester why they should be elected or re-elected in the upcoming 2014 election.

Only a few of the several dozen Clay County & Manchester candidates showed up yesterday at the "round table" in the El Cazador Mexican Restaurant, to face the camera and  answer this question - "Why should the voters of Clay County & the City of Manchester elect or re-elect you to the office you're running for?"

Clay County Cruisers President Jack Roberts asked each candidate the question in the order that they signed in and each was allowed five minutes to answer.

I'm not sure as to why so few of the candidates attended the Q&A session, but I do believe those that took advantage of the opportunity may now have an edge over their opponents.

We now take you inside the the El Cazador Mexican Restaurant, to meet the candidates that were asked and answered the "question".
