KSP Trooper Honored by Ky. Women’s Law Enforcement Network (KWLEN)

FRANKFORT, Ky.) –Kentucky State Police Sgt. Jackie Pickrell was honored with the Kentucky Women’s Law Enforcement Network (KWLEN) 2013 Member of the Year award during the group’s annual training conference held November 20-22, 2013.

Attorney General Conway Takes Action against Deceptive Health Insurance Websites

Acting to protect Kentucky consumers attempting to obtain health insurance under the new Affordable Care Act, Attorney General Jack Conway required a company operating a website deceptively similar to the Kentucky health insurance exchange to take down its site. This is the third website against which the Attorney General's Office of Consumer Protection has taken action, causing those websites to be taken down, corrected or blocked.

Motor vehicle exports up 43 percent during first 9 months; state expected to shatter export record

FRANKFORT, Ky. – Kentucky’s auto industry is booming.  Gov. Steve Beshear has announced Kentucky motor vehicle exports are up 43.2 percent through the first three quarters of 2013. Kentucky exported more than $3 billion in motor vehicles during the first nine months, ensuring that 2013 will be a record year for the industry.
