Dept. of Revenue: No increase in tax interest rate for 2014

FRANKFORT, Ky. – The Kentucky Department of Revenue has set the 2014 tax interest rate, which remains unchanged from the previous two years.

KSP Cramming Cruisers with Food this Holiday Season

(FRANKFORT, Ky.) - The Kentucky State Police ha  kicked off its fourth annual 'Cram the Cruiser' food drive. Food collection sites have been established at all 16 posts throughout the state and at the agency's headquarters location in Frankfort. The campaign extends through Dec. 13, 2013 and is designed to collect non-perishable food items for needy families.

Kentucky’s unemployment rate released for October 2013

FRANKFORT, Ky. — Kentucky’s seasonally adjusted preliminary unemployment rate rose to 8.4 percent in October from a revised 8.3 percent in September 2013, according to the Office of Employment and Training (OET), an agency of the Kentucky Education and Workforce Development Cabinet.

Indictments in Oakwood Manor Patient Neglect Investigation

Attorney General Jack Conway has announced that three former employees of Oakwood Manor in Somerset have been indicted on felony charges of abuse and neglect by a Pulaski County grand jury.
