Mrs. Mary Lou Reese, age 87 departed this life on Sunday, March 24, 2019 at the Landmark of Laurel Creek. She was born on Tuesday, February 9, 1932 in Manchester, Kentucky to the union of John and Sarah Bowling Hopper. She was a retired school teacher and a member of the Manchester Christian Church.
She leaves to mourn her passing her daughters: Sonja Day and Kay Shepherd, her grandchildren: Rodney Day and Deborah McIntosh, Tabitha Day Mahan and her husband Eddie, Marietta Fultz and her husband Elmer, Michael Shepherd and his wife Jessica, her great grandchildren: Trenton Fultz and his wife Karen, Blaine Shepherd, Alexia Shepherd and Bella Mahan, her son-in-law: Kenny Day and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents: John and Sarah Bowling Hopper, her husband: Blaine Reese, her son-in-law: Larry Shepherd, her brothers: John Estill Hopper and Steve Hopper and her nephew.
A celebration of life for Mrs. Mary Lou Reese will be conducted on Tuesday, March 26, 2019 at 2 PM at the Manchester Christian Church. Evangelist Buck Ryan and Pastor Andrew Fultz will be presiding. She will be laid to rest next to her husband Blaine in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery in the Sexton Creek Community.
The family will receive friends and loved ones on Tuesday after 12 PM at the Manchester Christian Church.
