Doris Archolene “Archie” Stivers age 85 was born on Wednesday, February 1, 1933 in Manchester, Kentucky to Robert Caudill and Susan Hensley Caudill Carnes. She departed this life on Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at the Landmark of Laurel Creek Nursing Facility. She was a retired school teacher.

Mr. Carl Edward “Crawdad” Sizemore was born on Monday, March 25th, 1940 in Beverly, Kentucky to the union of Brack and Alma Bowling Sizemore. He departed this life on Sunday, January 6, 2019 at the age of 78 years, 9 months and 12 days. Carl was a lifelong resident of Clay County.

He loved Clay County and the people he proudly served as County Judge Executive for 16 years as well as those he worked with and for at the City of Manchester, the Manchester Municipal Water Works for 18 years and was instrumental in many projects including the FCI Manchester, the Carl “Crawdad” Sizemore Community Building, the Clay County Ambulance Service as well as new water lines, he was involved with the beginnings of Rawlings-Stinson Park as other endeavors. Carl enjoyed gardening, fishing, and watching sports, especially UK basketball.
Mr. Lloyd Dean Gibson, age 81 departed this life on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at his home. He was born on Tuesday, February 23, 1937 in Jellico, Tennessee to Lloyd and Bessie Scott Gibson. He worked for EM Science in the maintenance department and is a member of the Manchester Church of God.
On Friday, January 4th, 2019 Danny Wayne Hubbard passed away suddenly at the age of 61. He was born on January 31st, 1957 in Manchester, Kentucky.
Donald E. Eckman of New Tazewell, Tennessee, formerly of Montgomery and Pine Bush, New York, passed away Saturday, January 5, 2019, in Knoxville, Tennessee. He was 70 years old.
The son of the late Douglas E. and Beatrice Tippet Eckman, he was born September 10, 1948, in Newburgh, New York.
Betty Wagers, age 75, of Charlestown, Indiana passed away Friday January 4th, 2019 at her home.
