FRANKFORT, Ky. - A Montgomery County, Ky., man, Scotty Allen Jones, 48, was sentenced on Thursday, December 10, 2020 to 268 months in federal prison, by U.S. District Judge Gregory Van Tatenhove, for distributing a fentanyl and heroin mixture, possessing acetylfentanyl with intent to distribute, possessing a firearm in furtherance of drug trafficking, and being a felon in possession of firearms.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) led the Senate on Monday, December 21, 2020 in passing his Horseracing Integrity and Safety Act, which was included in the year-end government funding bill. The legislation now goes to President Trump’s desk to become law. Senator McConnell introduced the bipartisan legislation in September, only days after the 146th Kentucky Derby, to recognize a uniform, national standard for Thoroughbred racing.

FRANKFORT, KY (December 23, 2020) – The Kentucky State Police (KSP) Electronic Crime Branch is a team of sixteen detectives and nine civilians. They have worked tirelessly this year, in conjunction with the Kentucky ICAC Task Force, to respond to over 3,000 cybercrime tips leading to 707 completed investigations resulting in 114 arrests, which is an overall increase from 2019.
