Complaint leads to Meth Trafficking arrest at motel in a southern Ky. county

LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Justin Taylor along with Sgt. John Inman, Deputy Landry Collett, K-9 Deputy Gary Mehler, Deputy Tommy Houston, and Deputy James Fox arrested Joshua Wombles age 24 of Vanbeber Court, Corbin early Saturday morning June 20, 2020 at approximately 3:41 AM.

The arrest occurred at a motel in southern Laurel County approximately 10 miles South of London after deputies were dispatched to possible drug activity complaint there.

Upon arrival at the scene deputies located this subject in possession of:

  • Suspected Methamphetamine
  • Digital scales
  • Suspected Marijuana
  • A glass smoking pipe

Joshua Wombles was charged with:

  • Trafficking in a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – Methamphetamine
  • Possession of Marijuana
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia

This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
