Man & woman accused of selling drugs in Kentucky out of a Budget Inn motel room remain under "lock & key"

SOMERSET, KY - According to Sheriff Greg Speck of Pulaski County, a Stanford man and Danville woman were charged with numerous drug-related charges following an investigation by the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office.

pulaski county sheriffs officeOn October 6, 2020, at approximately 12:07 AM, Deputy Tan Hudson received information that a man and woman were selling drugs out of a room at the Budget Inn in Somerset, Kentucky.

Deputy Tan Hudson, assisted by Sergeant Richard Smith, began an investigation.

When the Deputies confronted the people outside the room, the woman gave a false name and social security number. Permission was granted to the Deputies, and they entered the room.

Deputies located:

  • Approximately .44 grams of suspected Methamphetamine
  • 3 grams of suspected Cocaine
  • 2 grams of Heroin
  • 2 grams of Marijuana

Deputies also located two sets of digital scales and Narcan.

The persons were identified as:  Curtis Wesley Cook, age 43 of 105 Adams Court, Stanford, Kentucky and Clarrisa Ann Yankey, age 30 of Hustonville Road, Danville, Kentucky. 

Both were arrested and lodged in the Pulaski County Detention Center.

Curtis Wesley Cook was charged with:

  • Trafficking in a Controlled Substance, 1st Degree, 1st Offense (greater than 2 grams of Methamphetamine)
  • Trafficking in a Controlled Substance, 1st Degree, 1st Offense (less than 4 grams of Cocaine)
  • Trafficking in a Controlled Substance, 1st Offense, (Heroin)
  • Trafficking in Marijuana (less than 8 ounces) 1st Offense5. Drug Paraphernalia – Deliver/Manufacture

Mr. Cook remains lodged in the Pulaski County Detention Center with no bond set at this time.

Clarrisa Ann Yankey was charged with:

  • Trafficking in a Controlled Substance, 1st Degree, 1st Offense (greater than 2 grams of Methamphetamine)
  • Trafficking in a Controlled Substance, 1st Degree, 1st Offense (less than 4 grams of Cocaine)
  • Trafficking in a Controlled Substance, 1st Offense, (Heroin)
  • Trafficking in Marijuana (less than 8 ounces) 1st Offense
  • Drug Paraphernalia – Deliver/Manufacture
  • Theft of Identity of Another without Consent

Deputy Hudson also arrested Ms. Yankey on an Indictment Warrant out of Boyle County for:

  • Trafficking in a Controlled Substance, 1st Offense (Carfentanil or Fentanyl Derivatives)
  • Trafficking in a Controlled Substance, 1st Degree, 1st Offense (less than 2 grams of Methamphetamine)
  • Promoting Contraband – 1st Degree

As of Saturday afternoon October 31, 2020 Ms. Yankey was still lodged in the Pulaski County Detention Center.
