Police In Kentucky Arrest 2 / Locate Defaced Firearm & Suspected Methamphetamine During Traffic Stop Investigation On US 421

MANCHESTER, KY (November 25, 2020) - The Manchester Police Department is reporting that: On Tuesday November 24, 2020 at approximately 10:00 P.M. two individuals were arrested following a traffic stop in Clay County.

mpd 125 logoAccording to the Manchester Police Department's release on Facebook, MPD K9 Officer Ryan Jackson conducted a traffic stop on a red Ford truck on Highway 421 for traffic infractions.

Arrested was: David House age 24 and Jordan Lewis age 27. 

Upon speaking with the driver; David house stated that he did not have any insurance or paperwork for the vehicle.

While speaking to Mr. Lewis; he advised Officer Jackson that he had outstanding warrants out of Mercer county.

Officer Jackson was able to gain consent to search of the vehicle.

While searching Officer Jackson located what appeared to be a loaded sawed off 12 gauge shotgun under the passenger seat where Mr. Lewis was sitting.

After inspecting the firearm, the serial number had been removed and it was learned that Mr. Lewis was a convicted felon. 

During the search of Mr. Lewis's person, Officer Jackson located three 12 gauge shotgun shells in his pockets.

Located on Mr. House’s person, was what was believed to be Methamphetamine. 

According to jail records, on Tuesday, November 24, 2020 David House age 24 of Manchester, KY and Jordan Lewis age 27 of London, KY.  were arrested by the Clay County Sheriff's Department. 

David House was charged with:

  • Poss cont sub- 1st degree - 1st offense (Methamphetamine)
  • Rear license plate not illuminated
  • Failure of owner to maintain required insurance-1st offense
  • No/expired registration plates/receipt
  • Possession of a defaced firearm
  • Failure to produce insurance card

Jordan Lewis was charged with:

  • Possession of a defaced firearm
  • Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon
  • Serving bench warrant for court
  • Serving bench warrant for court

Both these individuals were lodged in the Jackson County Detention Center by the Clay County Sheriffs Department on Wednesday morning November 25, 2020.
