Emergency Units in Clay County, Kentucky Respond to Crash Scene with Victim Trapped Inside Vehicle

MANCHESTER, KY The City of Manchester Fire Department is reporting that: At approximately 2:06 AM on Sunday, December 20, 2020 the City of Manchester Fire Department was notified by Clay County E-911 to mutual Aid Fogertown Fire Department on a Motor Vehicle accident on KY-638 around the Gray Fork Road intersection with an Entrapment & Ejection.

Personnel responded, and upon arrival at the scene it was discovered that the vehicle was approximately 60 Feet over an embankment.

City of Manchester Firefighter’s deployed stokes basket’s and utilized them to get the extrication equipment to the vehicle and began extricating the trapped victim in the vehicle.

After approximately 30 Minutes of extrication the victim was free and placed in the care of Clay County EMS.

All personnel assisted with traffic control until Allen’s Towing & Recovery was able to retrieve the vehicle.

Assisting on scene: Manchester Police Department, Clay County EMS, Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, Clay County Sheriffs Office, Fogertown Fire Department, Warren’s Towing & Clay County EMS.
