Michigan Woman that fled Deputies in Tennessee Crashes after leading Kentucky State Troopers on 9 Mile Pursuit

ALLENSVILLE, KY – Kentucky State Police is reporting that at around 10:10 PM on Thursday, August 12, 2021 Troopers were conducting a traffic safety checkpoint on U.S. 79 in Todd County when a vehicle driven by a female, later identified as Cindy Ngo, 45, of Grand Rapids, MI, came through the checkpoint without stopping.

Also learned later was that this subject had a warrant out of Sumner County, Tennessee stemming from an incident where she had fled from Deputies earlier in the day.

Troopers Justin Cornette and Kirby Broadbent caught up to the vehicle and attempted to conduct a traffic stop but the vehicle accelerated and continued North on U.S. 79 for 9 miles before losing control in a curve and overturning.

The driver was extricated from the vehicle by Logan County Rescue and transported to the Logan County Hospital. She was treated and released for minor injuries and taken to jail.

Cindy Ngo was charged with:

  • IMPROPER PASSING
  • FAILURE TO OR IMPROPER SIGNAL
  • FUGITIVE (WARRANT NOT REQUIRED)
  •  SPEEDING 26 MPH OR > SPEED LIMIT
  • RECKLESS DRIVING
  • FLEEING OR EVADING POLICE, 1ST DEGREE (MOTOR VEHICLE)
  • OPER MTR VEHICLE U/INFL SUBST (189A.010(1C) - 1ST
  • WANTON ENDANGERMENT-1ST DEGREE-POLICE OFFICER
  • FAILURE TO WEAR SEAT BELTS

This individual was lodged in the Todd County Detention Center.
