Meth Trafficking Arrest in Southeastern Kentucky with Cash, Pills and LSD Blotting Paper Seized from Home Owner off Highway 312

LONDON, KY (September 8, 2021) - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Justin Taylor along with Deputy Landry Collett arrested Clarence Dwight Egner age 45 of Highway 1629, Corbin early Wednesday morning September 8, 2021 at approximately 3:12 AM.

CLARENCE EGNERThe arrest occurred at a residence off Highway 312 approximately 10 miles South of London after deputies developed information on possible drug activity at a residence there.

Following an investigation and a search warrant obtained by Sheriff's investigators, the home owner was found in possession of:

  • A large amount of suspected Methamphetamine weighing approximately 280 grams
  • Pills
  • LSD blotting paper
  • A large amount of US currency

Clarence Egner was charged with:

  • Trafficking in a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – Methamphetamine
  • Trafficking in a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense
  • Possession of a controlled substance – second-degree
  • Possession of a controlled substance – second-degree – Hallucinogen
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia

This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.

also assisting on the investigation were Laurel Sheriff's Deputy James Sizemore, Deputy Tommy Houston, K-9 Deputy Jake Miller and his K-9 “Maverick”, and shift Sgt. John Inman.

Laurel County Sheriff John Root (right) stated that drug investigations and arrests will continue in Laurel County.
