Troopers in Kentucky led on Multi-County Pursuit by Florida Teen driving a Stolen Vehicle

EDDYVILLE, KY.  – The Kentucky State Police reported on Thursday, September 9, 2021 that Troopers with, Post 1 arrested a Florida man after he led them on a multi-county pursuit on Sunday morning.

At around 9:40 P.M. Sunday, September 5th, Troopers were asked to be on the lookout for a 2016 Subaru Cross Trac, stolen out of Iowa, traveling east on Interstate 24.

Troopers observed the vehicle around the 36 mile marker and attempted to conduct a traffic stop.

The vehicle accelerated and fled from Troopers through Lyon, Caldwell, and into Trigg County.

Officers with the Cadiz Police Department were able to successfully deploy a tire deflation device at the 65 mile marker. The vehicle slowed down and pulled over a short distance later.

Troopers were able to take the operator of the vehicle De Andre I. Bolton, 18 of Tampa, Florida, into custody without further incident.

De Andre I. Bolton was charged with:

  • Fleeing or Evading Police 1st Degree (Motor Vehicle),
  • Wanton Endangerment 2nd Degree – Police Officer,
  • Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree
  • Receiving Stolen Property $10,000 or More
  • Possession of Marijuana
  • Drug Paraphernalia – Buy/Possess
  • Several traffic offenses

This individual was lodged in the Christian County Jail.

Kentucky State Police, Post 1 was assisted by Cadiz Police Department and the Trigg County Sheriff’s Office.
