Methamphetamine Seized During Traffic Stop On Highway 97 In Oregon

U.S. Route 97, OR - Oregon State Police is reporting that on October 19, 2021, at about 2:22 P.M., an Oregon State Police Trooper stopped a blue Honda Civic northbound on Highway 97 near milepost 278 for a traffic violation.

During the contact, the Trooper observed signs of criminal activity and a probable cause search of the vehicle was conducted.

During the search, approximately 4 pounds of suspected Methamphetamine was located concealed in a false bottom ice chest.

An Oregon State Police drug detection canine assisted at the scene.

The driver, identified as Antonio Nicolas Navarro-Medica (37) from Gilroy, CA was arrested for:

  • Possession of Methamphetamine
  • Delivery of Methamphetamine

The passenger, identified as Trinidad Rodriguez (49) from San Jose, CA was also arrested for:

  • Possession of Methamphetamine
  • Delivery of Methamphetamine
