Pineville, Kentucky Man Charged after Deputies respond to Stabbing Incident

PINEVILLE, KY -  The Bell County Sheriff's Department is reporting that on Saturday, October 16, 2021, Bell County Dispatch received a call of a stabbing at a residence on Holmes Lane.

Responding to the scene were Deputies Jonathan Franklin and Marti Messer who found an individual suffering from a stab wound under his right arm.

Moments after arriving, the deputies saw 29-year-old Edward Horne of Pineville coming from another home nearby holding what turned out to be a knife behind his back.

Horne tried to throw the knife in a ditch line but was seen by the deputies.

After making a positive identification on Horne and that he was responsible for the incident, he was taken into custody.

Edward Horne was charged with:

  • Assault – 2nd degree

This individual was lodged in the Bell County Detention Center.

Horne is being held on a $5,000 cash bond.
