Subject arrested in Clay County, Kentucky after striking Victim in Head with Object containing Screws

MANCHESTER, KY (October 22, 2021) - Clay County Sheriff Patrick Robinson is reporting that on October 21, 2021 at approximately 11:20 PM Clay County Sheriff Deputy Kendric Smith arrested Amanda Jordan, 24 of Smith Road.

The arrest occurred off of South Highway 421 when Deputy Smith was dispatched to a fight complaint with a possible weapon at a business.

Upon arrival, Deputy Smith made contact with a female victim who had lacerations to her head.

Through investigation it was determined that the above mentioned subject and the victim had gotten into a verbal altercation over $1 when the above mentioned subject struck the victim in the head with a wooden object that had screws placed into it.

The above mentioned individual was then later located and placed under arrest without incident. 

Amanda Jordan was charged with:

• Assault 2nd Degree
• Tampering with Physical Evidence

This individual was lodged the Clay County Detention Center.
