ARREST: K-9 alerts on presence of Narcotics during Investigation on Driver and Vehicle near London, Kentucky

LONDON, KY (October 22, 2021) - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Justin Taylor along with Deputy Landry Collett arrested Christopher Lee Sprouse age 40 of Rocky Point Road, East Bernstadt, KY early Friday morning October 22, 2021 at approximately 1:00 AM.

The arrest occurred at a business off Glenview Road, approximately 3 miles north of London after deputies observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed and later located the vehicle at a business and conducted an investigation on the driver and vehicle.

An on duty K-9 Officer with London Police Department , Sgt. Jacob Bormann and his K-9 “Jack” assisted with a walk around on the suspect’s vehicle and alerted on the vehicle for the presence of narcotics and deputies found:

  • Suspected Methamphetamine
  • A glass smoking pipe
  • Digital scales with residue

Christopher Lee Sprouse was charged with:

  • Possession of a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – Methamphetamine
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia

This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
