Beloved wife and mother, Ruby Henson, 74, of Manchester, KY, passed away Monday, April 1st, 2024 at the St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington, KY. Ruby was born in Red Bird, KY on July 27, 1949, a daughter of the late Alex and Alpha Smith Sizemore. She was a homemaker and a loving mother, wife, and grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Henson, Sr.
Ruby is survived by her children: Vernon Henson, Jr. and wife Missy of London, Larry Henson and wife Sherry of Richmond, Paul Henson and wife Nancy of Manchester, and Teresa Sizemore and husband Clarence of Manchester.
She is also survived by several brothers and sisters and by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Ruby was of the holiness faith and loved God. She lived her life to the fullest and loved being a mother and wife. She loved her family dearly and spent her days caring for her home and she loved everyone she met. She saw no strangers. She was everything to her family and will never be forgotten.
Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, April 6th at Britton Funeral Home, with Paul Mitchell and Jim Smith officiating. Burial will follow at the Vernon Henson Cemetery on Hogskin.
Visitation will be held at 6:00 PM on Friday, April 5th at Britton Funeral Home.
