Vehicle Enforcement Makes Drug Arrest


Middlesboro, Ky. - On Monday November 14th 2016 around 4:00 P.M. Officer Tyler Teaney with KSP-Vehicle Enforcement conducted a traffic stop on a 2003 Peterbilt Tractor Trailer for a commercial vehicle safety inspection after he observed the vehicle in operation without proper permits that is required while in the state of Kentucky.

During the course of his stop and through investigation Officer Teaney observed paraphernalia in plain view and received consent to search the vehicle.

Officers found 51 year old Eddie C. Couch of Bear Branch, Kentucky in violation of an International Registration (License Plate Violation): Unified Carrier Registration (Permit Required When Operating in Multiple States), Possession of Controlled Substances (Methamphetamine) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Couch was arrested without further incident and lodged in the Bell County Detention Center.

Officer Tyler Teaney continues the investigation.
